*the start of another AFLBS evening*

The night is young...  

I'm sitting in the first floor of the girl's dorm in the computer lab right now... computers are humming.  Gotta love that sound.  Some AFLBS girls are on computers next to me typing away and doing their own thing... it's so cool to just be with friends on campus!

In a few minutes, my gospel team is going to practice!  We sing in chapel next Thursday... I'm getting excited!   I have an absolute blast with the women's trio girls!  I'm so glad God created music....

Tomorrow I get to go HOME!!  I can not even wait... seriously.  I miss my brother more than anything... he's meeting his birthmom for the first time tomorrow... if you think about it, pray for him (and my whole family!) tomorrow!!

Midterms are done... praise God for school, but praise God for midterms finally finished...!! 

Sounds like my trio's gathering in the other room.. I should go join them....

FREE HOUR!!!

It's about time I update about my crazy adventures as an AFLBS student...  and I have a free hour...

*ahem*

Travel back in time over a month...  A very apprehensive Elizabeth & family drove in to AFLBS on that dreadfully rainy Sunday.  My car was swarmed with AFLBS seniors that hauled my boxes and bags up to the dorm room that I have called home for the past month...  and *surprise surprise* I was greeted by not one roommate (as I expected), but two!  I have two awesome roommates... Carmen and Dana!  They're so awesome... couldn't have asked for better girls to room with!  Classes started that Wednesday... I still had no idea who 10% of the kids at my school were... faces were starting to look familiar... 

Since then, I've found myself pilled in vans going to Twins games, playing soccer on Sunday afternoons, driving all over Minneapolis to teach piano/voice, playing piano for Proclaim choir, singing in Concert choir...  going to classes, doing devos, relying on God to be my ultimate source of strength... honestly, He's the only thing that has remained consistent in my life. 

The students here are amazing!  I went through the facebook the other day and found out that there are only like 6 kids on campus that I don't know!  It's so great to be in such an encouraging atmosphere when there are SO many things for me to get used to! 

I went home this past weekend... It was so amazing to go back home, sleep in my own bed, hang with my family, see everyone at church (!), and just relax and catch up on sleep...  I can't wait to go home again!

It's so brisk outside; I love it!  The campus is so beautiful with all the leaves turning colors and everything reflecting off the lake...  Fall is definitely my favorite season....

Fight the good fight!  Finish the race!!

Off to Colorado...  have a great three weeks, all!  Take care of good ol' ND for me....
